Insurance Exam Prep in 2026: CertiAcademy, ExamFX and Kaplan Compared Honestly

There is no honest winner for every learner. ExamFX and Kaplan are established providers with state-dependent packages. CertiAcademy is a newer specialist product available for selected states. The useful question is which model fits your licensing path.

When ExamFX may be the better fit

ExamFX currently advertises Spanish mode, transcripts and study guides in selected offerings. Availability still depends on the exact state, line and package, so check the current product page before purchase.

  • You need a state CertiAcademy does not yet offer.
  • You want prelicensing and exam prep in one provider relationship.
  • Your selected state/package includes the Spanish resources you need.
  • You meet and accept the provider's Readiness Exam and guarantee conditions.
03

When Kaplan may be the better fit

Kaplan's Florida Life & Health page currently lists packages from $139 to $349 and a 60-day online access period. Other states and products can differ.

  • You want an established provider with self-study, OnDemand or live instruction choices.
  • You need state-approved prelicensing where required.
  • Instructor access, study plans and a broad education catalog matter more than a dedicated new app.
  • You are comfortable with the published access period and any extension fees.
04

When CertiAcademy is intended to fit

  • You want a complete state-specific practice path in English or Spanish.
  • You value a very large state-law practice pool and detailed error review.
  • You want diagnostics, spaced review and exact-format simulations in one learning system.
  • You already understand that CertiAcademy will not satisfy a state's separate prelicensing requirement.
  • Your state is currently available in the CertiAcademy catalog.

Five questions to ask before paying any provider

  • Does this exact package satisfy prelicensing, exam prep or both?
  • Is Spanish complete for my state and line, or only a study guide or interface mode?
  • How long is access, and what does an extension cost?
  • What exactly must I complete to qualify for a guarantee or protection policy?
  • Does the practice format match the current official outline for my examination?
